Best Friend?

I see that June 8th is Best Friend Day.

So what is the difference between best friend, good friend, or even a friend? Does the title matter? Or is this just another social media trend where everyone must have a “best friend” and if one does not have a “best friend” then there is definitely something wrong.

What is meant my the term “best friend”? According to Merriam-Webster Dictionary “a person’s closest and dearest friend”.

The gift of friendship is something to be celebrateed without haveing to grade those friendships. A friendship is very precious and any friendhip should be celebrated without the necessity of labelling. To have been given that gift is utterly fantastic.

If just once in a lifetime one has received the gift of friendship then one is in a very privileged position.

So let’s celebrate friendship in all it’s wonderful forms.
