It Needed a Stranger
I was out for a walk, or perhaps I should call it a stroll, over the weekend. Winter was definitely in the air. However, it was dry and the sun was still shinning although it was late in the afternoon. I’m inclined to be in a world of my own when I am strolling.
A young lady was walking towards me wearing the most amazing bronze skirt. It seemed to swirl and shimmer. She stopped me and asked if I had seen the rainbow? Turning around therein front of us was an unusual sight. The rainbow seemed to be standing on it’s side as if someone had decided to lift a rainbow 90̊ and then decided that all the colours should be muted.
It was a beautiful sight, and I was so delighted that the young lady had pointed it out to me. I thanked her and she continued her way while I remained marvelling at what I was seeing. It was a very special image.
Sometimes it needs a stranger to show us to look up rather than look down.
